Portable Farms Ltd. offers three types of Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems (PFAS) Technology Licenses (TL) Portable Farms Aquaponics Systems
These are available for individuals, companies and even countries, or parts of countries.
These three types of licenses are designed to closely match the requirements of the potential license holder and each type of license has very different requirements, restriction and pricing.
Areas of Commonality within the Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology Licenses:
- All License Holders are required to purchase all CAD Pumps and ATV’s from Portable Farms Ltd. They are not expensive and are easily shipped all over the world. This is a condition of the Licensing Agreement and there are NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Each license also has an annual renewal fee to be paid on the anniversary of the signing of the Licensing Agreement in order to maintain the PFAS TL in force.
- If you are interesting in investing in the Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology please contact us for further information. The smallest investment for a commercial installation is in excess of US$100,000.
EXPANDABLE LICENSE
The Extendable Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License is for individual installations of commercial PFAS Units. Each license is issued on a per specified site basis and the License Holder may not expand their footprint of Units to other locations without express permission of Portable Farms Ltd. They are however free to expand the number of Modules at the initial site within limitations of the original PFAS Licensing Agreement.
The Expandable PFAS Technology License Holder may not sell or solicit for sale the PFAS Technology, the PFAS Units nor even offer tours of their facilities except to the media as a marketing tool to sell produce and fish. The Expandable PFAS Technology License is strictly for individual installations. This license may be upgraded to a Territorial License at any time as long as the surrounding territory is not yet licensed. If there is a current Territorial License Holder then that Territorial License Holder must approve of the expansion to an additional location within their territory.
Portable Farms Ltd. will not advertize, promote or make public any Expandable Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License Holders Installations.
The Expandable PFAS TL is the least expensive and the most restrictive of the PFAS Technology Licenses.
TERRITORIAL LICENSE
The Territorial Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License covers a specific geographical territory encompassing up to approximately three-million people. This can be a small city or part of a large city, a region, a carefully defined area bounded by rivers, highways or state or national borders or it can be as large as a whole country (see below also). The prospective License Holder and Portable Farms Ltd. carefully define the territory, how the License Holder will sell and build within the territory and will included a full description of the territory as part of the Licensing Agreement before the documents are agreed to and signed.
The Territorial Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License Holder may sell, build, maintain and promote the Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems within their territory. They are not restricted to the number of Units they may build. They are however restricted to selling and installing PFAS Units only within their licensed territory. All inquiries and leads received by Portable Farms or other License Holders in the License Holder’s specific territory will be forwarded immediately to that territory’s License Holder for follow up. All inquiries and leads from outside the territory received by the License Holder will be forwarded to Portable Farms for distribution to the relevant License Holders.
The potential License Holder must be, or be affiliated with, a large successful construction company in order to be considered for the Territorial Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License. The current area covered by the construction company often dictates the size and boundaries of the territory.
The Territorial Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License is a set price and has a variety of value-added additions that the License Holder may elect to purchase along with the License. See Territorial Fact Sheet for more information.
Portable Farms will work with the License Holder to promote their new venture through media releases, articles, website promotions and other marketing techniques to help the License Holder gain exposure to help them grow their business.
The Territorial Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License is the least restrictive of the Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology Licenses and is very reasonably priced.
COUNTRY LICENSE
The Country Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License covers a specific country. This can be as small as an island or small country, a state or province within a country or be a very largest country. The pricing of the Country PFAS TL is based on population as listed in the Wikipedia list of countries by population. This License is available to both companies and to countries.
The Country Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License is very different is several ways from the Territorial PFAS TL. Please note the differences depend also on if the License in owned by a company or the country itself.
If the Country Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License is owned by a company it is nearly identical to the Territorial Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License with the following differences:
As noted above the Licensing Fee and renewal fee are population based.
- The entire country becomes the territory.
- The in-country assembly training is included in the licensing package. This training is done by Portable Farms leading construction instructor at a location within the country where the first PFAS Units will be constructed.
- The annual renewal fee includes 100 hours of consulting and training time.
If the Country Portable Farms™ Aquaponics Systems Technology License is owned by a country or ministry of that country the license grants the following:
- The country may train their own local population to build the PFAS Units.
- The in-country assembly training is included in the licensing package. This training is done by Portable Farms Ltd. leading construction instructor at a location within the country where the first PFAS Units will be constructed.
- The annual renewal fee includes 100 hours of consulting and training time.
- The focus of the PFAS technology covers creating local jobs, food production and security.
- The annual renewal fee is based on population.
